He shrugged. "I don't know. Sometimes I really don't know what's going on. It's easier for me to just act dumb sometimes, though, instead of trying to argue."

"That's stupid." Though actually a little relieving.

"I guess. I'm just not big on being conniving or arguing - that's mostly my sister's thing. And besides," he pointed a little at her, "Isn't it easier when I just go 'oh, I didn't get it,' instead of making a scene?"

"If you want to be seen as an idiot."

"No offense, but I don't really care how I seem on the internet." The idea of caring what people across the world - well, worlds, plural - was silly to him. What did it matter? "Most people online aren't going to meet me. What do I care what a bunch of strangers think about me?" A laugh, "I wouldn't be able to handle becoming famous if I cared about every random person's opinion!"

She scoffed. "What do you think you're going to be famous for?"

"Acting, music, dancing - I'm planning on going into theater, but I'm not beyond working on a music career or something." It was so matter-of-fact - after all, Sharpay wasn't going to drop him like a hot potato after she got famous, right?

"Why?" Performance was often boring to her, especially theater.

He shrugged, "Because I'm good at it, and I love doing it. Especially choreography and directing - I like being up on stage, but directing other people is way more challenging."

"That's what I prefer." Obviously. It was easier than working with them, that was for sure.

"I haven't really done much directing though," he said. Definitely not as much as Azula, right? "My sister usually takes creative control."

"Running a country is different. It's more about discipline than creativity."

He nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, I definitely get that. Still, it's got to have the same effect when people listen to you and things go super smoothly."

...He now remembered that Azula was a ruler. He knew it, but he hadn't really thought about the implications until just this second. Man, did he blow it? Should he have, like, bowed when he met her? Should he be calling her... Queen? No, Fire Lord. Whoops - oh well, he wasn't about to change gears this late into the conversation. Besides, she hadn't said anything...

"I suppose." She shrugged.

"It just feels really good, you know?" He grinned. "I like it when I see everything come together and look great."

Azula rolled her eyes skyward. "You're easily amused."

"Maybe, but it makes life more fun"

"I don't need fun."

"Everyone needs fun."

"I don't."

He shook his head. "Sure you do. Otherwise, you get all stressed out."

She gave a huff, but said nothing. Wasn't it obvious that she was "all stressed out"?

Actually, it really was. Hence the gentle prodding that Ryan was now about to utilize. "I mean, it's nice to be able to relax and just enjoy yourself once in a while, you know? Like, playing video games or... dancing, really, or just going to a movie or something. It helps clear your mind, you know? Because you get distracted by having fun."

A pointed look. "Then you can come back to a problem with a clearer head."

She stretched a leg out in front of her. "Maybe I don't feel like having fun."

"No offense, Azula, but that's either a lie or some crazy denial."
